Am I eligible for WeTravel Cards?

You're eligible if you're a verified WeTravel organizer with a business registered in a supported market. You will see the application information in your account in the Payments section.

Which countries are supported?

Businesses registered in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand, and Canada can apply. US-registered businesses can get WeTravel Cards too, through our US card program. The country where your business is registered determines your card program and the currencies you can hold.

Are there any fees to use my card?

No. WeTravel charges no fees on issuing cards or any other service fees. On top of that, your card automatically picks the right currency from your balance to avoid unnecessary currency conversion. A standard currency conversion (FX) applies only when you pay in a currency you don't hold.

Which currencies can I use?

Your card is multi-currency. A single card can hold and spend across more than 10 currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, SGD, NZD, HKD, JPY, CHF, NOK, DKK, SEK, and PLN, with more on the way. Currency availability may vary in different regions. When you pay, the card primarily draws from the matching currency balance, and only converts from your primary currency when you don't already hold the one you're spending in.

How is paying with a card different from requesting a payout?

A payout moves money from WeTravel to an external bank account, which can take up to 3 to 5 days, may involve payout fees. Your WeTravel Card lets you spend your balance instantly and directly, so you can pay suppliers and cover expenses without the wait and without the extra fees.

What types of cards can I create?

Three. Virtual cards for online spend like supplier bookings, ads, software, subscriptions, and WeTravel Pro, ready to use as soon as you create them. Physical cards for in-person spend while running trips, like hotels, transport, supplies, and meals. And single-use supplier cards to pay a specific supplier directly from your WeTravel balance.

What is a supplier card, and how does it work?

A supplier card is a card you create for one specific supplier, like a hotel. You generate it, set the amount, and send it to the supplier, who charges it directly through their own terminal or checkout. The supplier is paid straight from your WeTravel balance, with no bank transfer, no payout, and without you sharing your own card details. Your funds stay in WeTravel until the supplier charges the card.

Can I add my card to Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Yes. Both virtual and physical cards work with Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Can my team use the cards?

Yes. Every card is assigned to a cardholder, either you or a team member you add. You can issue several cards, each with its own spend limit, so expenses stay clean and easy to track.

Can I set a spending limit?

Yes. Each card has an overall spend limit that you set and can adjust anytime. Per-category spending caps aren't available at launch.

How many cards can I create?

You can create up to 50 cards on your WeTravel account, including closed ones.

What can I use my WeTravel Card for?

You can use WeTravel Cards to cover different business expenses. Paying suppliers like hotels and flights, covering on-the-ground costs like transport, supplies, and meals, and handling online expenses like ads, software, subscriptions, and WeTravel Pro.

How do I apply?

Go to Payments > WeTravel Cards and start your card application by completing the form with your business details. Usually, the review takes 3-10 days, and as soon as your application is approved, you can start creating cards and spending.
